Removal Procedure

    Warning: Refer to SIR Inflator Module Handling and Storage Warning in the Preface section.

  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
  2. Remove the front side door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side or Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side.

    3. Object Number: 1226209 Size: SH
  3. Remove the retaining bolts from the inflatable restraint side impact sensor.
  4. Remove the sensor from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1226209 Size: SH
  1. Install the sensor to the vehicle.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the retaining bolts to the inflatable restraint side impact sensor.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  3. Install the front side door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side or Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side.
  4. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
