Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
- Disconnect the rear wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the rear hub unit from the knuckle assembly, because the wheel speed sensor is not serviceable separately. Refer to Rear Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement in Rear Suspension.
Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.
Installation Procedure
- Install the rear hub unit. Refer to Rear Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement in Rear Suspension.
- Connect the rear wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Connect the negative battery cable.
Important: The wheel speed sensor is served as an assembly, hub-wheel speed sensor. Therefore, the additional working procedure for air gap is not needed.
