Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1263680 Size: SH
  1. Remove the HVAC module from the vehicle. Refer to HVAC Module Assembly Replacement .
  2. Remove the wiring harness from the HVAC module.

    3. Object Number: 1263685 Size: SH
  3. Remove the temperature motor lever and actuator rod.

    4. Object Number: 1255887 Size: SH
  4. Remove the mode motor ventilation link.

    5. Object Number: 1263718 Size: SH
  5. Remove the air inlet case with the screws.

    6. Object Number: 1255889 Size: SH
  6. Remove the evaporator core case cover.

    7. Object Number: 1255890 Size: SH
  7. Remove the heater core cover with the screws.

    8. Object Number: 1255891 Size: SH
  8. Remove the heater core clip.

    9. Object Number: 1255892 Size: SH
  9. Remove the heater core from the case.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1255892 Size: SH
  1. Install the heater core into the case.

    2. Object Number: 1255891 Size: SH
  2. Install the heater core clip.

    3. Object Number: 1255890 Size: SH
  3. Install the heater core cover.
  4. Install and finger tighten the screws that secure the heater core cover to the aircon module.

    5. Object Number: 1255889 Size: SH
  5. Install the evaporator core case cover.
  6. Install and finger tighten the screws that secure the evaporator core cover to the A/C module.

    7. Object Number: 1263718 Size: SH
  7. Install the air inlet case with the screws.

    8. Object Number: 1255887 Size: SH
  8. Install the motor and the screws for the floor diverter.
  9. Install the HVAC module. Refer to HVAC Module Assembly Replacement
  10. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.
  11. Connect the negative battery cable.
  12. Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
