The Procedure listed below needs to be performed whenever the following occurs:
| • | The throttle body assembly is replaced |
| • | The throttle body is cleaned |
| • | The ECM is replaced or programmed |
- Turn OFF all accessories.
- Turn ON the ignition.
- Turn OFF the ignition for 15 seconds.
- Turn ON the ignition for 5 seconds.
- Turn OFF the ignition for 15 seconds for engines without throttle actuator control (TAC) or 35 seconds for engines with TAC.
- Start the engine.
- While pressing the brake pedal, place the transaxle into Drive for 1 second and then return to Park.
- Allow the engine to run until the engine coolant temperature is more than 85°C (185°F).
- Turn ON the A/C for 10 seconds, if equipped.
- While pressing the brake pedal, place the transaxle into Drive for 10 seconds.
- Turn OFF the A/C for 10 seconds, if equipped.
- Place the transmission into Park.
- Turn OFF the ignition. The idle learn procedure is complete.
