Discharge Hose Replacement Gasoline Engine

Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1865899  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  3. Remove the nut at the compressor hose connecting block.

  4. Object Number: 1865897  Size: SH
  5. Remove the nut at the condenser connecting block.
  6. Remove the hose from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1865897  Size: SH
  1. Install new sealing washers at the compressor connecting block end and a new O-ring at the condenser connecting block end.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Position the hose into the vehicle, and install the nut at the condenser connecting block. .
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the discharge hose connecting block-to-condenser retaining nut to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).

  5. Mate the hose connecting the connecting block to the compressor, and install the retaining nut.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the discharge hose connecting block-to-compressor retaining nut to 33 N·m (24 lb ft).

  7. Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  8. Connect the negative battery cable.

Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  3. Remove the nut at the compressor hose connecting block.

  4. Object Number: 1866013  Size: SH
  5. Remove the nut at the condenser connecting block (1).
  6. Remove the hose from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1866013  Size: SH
  1. Install new sealing washers at the compressor connecting block end and a new O-ring at the condenser connecting block end (1).
  2. Position the hose into the vehicle, and install the nut at the condenser connecting block.
  3. Tighten
    Tighten the discharge hose connecting block-to-condenser retaining nut to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).

  4. Mate the hose connecting the connecting block to the compressor, and install the retaining nut.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the discharge hose connecting block-to-compressor retaining nut to 33 N·m (24 lb ft).

  6. Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  7. Connect the negative battery cable.
