R--Replace or change:

(1) If a vehicle is operated under severs conditions: short distance driving, extensive idling or driving in dusty conditions, change engine oil and the filter every 7 500 km (5,000 mi) or 6 months, whichever comes first.

(2) Inspect the air cleaner element every 7 500 km (5,000 mi) or 6 months if under dusty driving conditions. If necessary, correct, clean, or replace.

(3) Refer to Fluid and Lubricant Recommendations .

(4) Inspect the engine coolant every 1 year or 15 000 km (10,000 mi) and replace it every 5 years or 240 000 km (150,000 mi).

(5) Replace every 160 000 km (100,000 mi).

(6) More frequent maintenance is required if under severe conditions: short distance driving, extensive idling, frequent low-speed operation in stop and go traffic or driving in dusty conditions.

(7) Tire condition should be inspected before driving and tire pressure should be checked each time you fill your fuel tank or at least once a month using a tire pressure gage.

(8) If necessary, rotate and balance wheels.

(9) The transaxle fluid change is not required. Also, routine inspection of the fluid is not required. Transaxle fluid inspection is only required if there is a symptom indicating a concern with the fluid.
