Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1375158 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the throttle cable by opening the throttle and moving the cable through the release slot.

    3. Object Number: 1375352 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the intake manifold tuning (IMT) valve actuator.

    4. Important: Ensure the IMT valve flap is closed before removing the IMT valve.

  4. Remove the IMT actuator and the IMT valve.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1375355 Size: SH
  1. Install the IMT valve and the IMT actuator.

    2. Tighten

        • Tighten the IMT valve retaining bolts to 12 N·m (106 lb in).
        • Tighten the IMT actuator retaining bolts to 12 N·m (106 lb in).
  2. Connect the vacuum hose to the IMT actuator.

  3. Connect the throttle cable.
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.
