Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1864067 Size: SH
  1. Remove the engine undercover shield. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement .
  2. Drain the engine oil.
  3. Remove the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement .
  4. Remove the oil strainer. Refer to Oil Pump Suction Pipe and Screen Assembly Replacement .

    5. Object Number: 1822584 Size: SH
  5. Remove the crankshaft balancer.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1822584 Size: SH
  1. Install the crankshaft balancer.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the crankshaft balancer bolts to 55 N·m (46 lb ft).

    Important: Do not disassemble the crankshaft balancer. Otherwise, the engine and body may be able to vibrate.

  2. Turn the crankshaft and align the crankshaft balancer 3-point on the gears.

  3. Install the oil strainer. Refer to Oil Pump Suction Pipe and Screen Assembly Replacement .
  4. Install the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement .
  5. Fill with engine oil.
  6. Install the engine undercover shield. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement .
