Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1256821 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the door seal trim. Refer to Door Bottom Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement .
  3. Remove the screw and the guide rail.

    4. Object Number: 1256824 Size: SH
  4. Remove the door lock screws.
  5. Disconnect the lock rods.
  6. Remove the door lock.
  7. Disconnect the electrical connector.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1256824 Size: SH
  1. Connect the electrical connector.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the rear door lock with the screws.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the rear door lock screws to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the lock rods.
  4. Install the guide rail with the bolts and the screw.

    5. Tighten

        • Tighten the rear door guide rail screw to 4 N·m (35 lb in).
        • Tighten the rear door guide rail bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
  5. Install the door seal trim. Refer to Door Bottom Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement .
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
