Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1256559 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the console cover.
  3. Remove the screws and the ashtray trim panel.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  5. Remove the cigar lighter. Refer to Cigar Lighter Housing Replacement .
  6. Remove the ashtray lamp. Refer to Ashtray Lamp Bulb Replacement .

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1256559 Size: SH
  1. Install the ashtray lamp. Refer to Ashtray Lamp Bulb Replacement .
  2. Install the cigar lighter. Refer to Cigar Lighter Housing Replacement .
  3. Connect the electrical connector.

    4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  4. Install the screws and the ashtray trim panel.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the ashtray housing screws to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

  5. Install the console cover.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
