Removal Procedure

    Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1255818 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  3. Disconnect the front wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
  4. Remove the front hub unit from the steering knuckle assembly, because the wheel speed sensor is not serviceable separately. Refer to Steering Knuckle Replacement.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1255821 Size: SH

    Note: The wheel speed sensor is served as an assembly, hub-wheel speed sensor. Therefore, the additional working procedure for air gap is not needed.

  1. Install the front hub unit. Refer to Steering Knuckle Replacement.
  2. Connect the front wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
  3. Lower the vehicle.
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.
