DW-110-060 Engine Support Fixture

1. Remove the engine cover and the air filter housing.
2. Remove the battery and the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement.



3. Remove the shift control cables (1) from the transaxle using a suitable tool.
4. Remove the cables (2) from the shift control cable bracket.



5. Remove the clip and disconnect the clutch actuator cylinder pipe from the concentric slave cylinder pipe.



6. Disconnect the speedometer driven gear electrical wiring connector.



7. Disconnect the backup lamp switch electrical wiring connector.



8. Remove the upper transaxle-to-engine bolts.



9. Install the DW-110-060 support fixture .
10. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
11. Remove the engine under covers. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement.
12. Remove the front exhaust pipe. Refer to Front Pipe Replacement.



13. Remove the engine crossmember. Refer to Engine Front Crossmember Replacement.
14. Remove the frame brace. Refer to Frame Brace Replacement.
15. Remove the drive axle shafts. Refer to Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement.



16. Remove the front damper bush mounting bolts and the front damper bush.
17. Remove the transaxle ground wiring harness and the transaxle ground bolt.
18. Remove the starter. Refer to Starter Motor Replacement.



19. Remove the rear transaxle mounting bracket bolts and the rear transaxle mounting bracket.



20. Support the transaxle assembly using the supporting jack.



21. Remove the oil pan flange-to-transaxle bolts (2).
22. Remove the left lower engine-to-transaxle bolts (1) near the rear transaxle mounting bracket side.
23. Remove the right lower engine-to-transaxle bolt (3) near the front damper bush.



24. Remove the upper transaxle mounting bracket bolts.



25. Carefully remove the transaxle assembly from the vehicle.

1. Install the transaxle into the vehicle and support the transaxle assembly using the supporting jack.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.




2. Install the upper transaxle mounting bracket bolts and tighten to 40 N·m (30 lb ft).



3. Install the right lower engine-to-transaxle bolt (3) near the front damper bush bracket and tighten to 75 N·m (55 lb ft).
4. Install the left lower engine-to-transaxle bolts (1) near the rear transaxle mounting bracket side and tighten to 75 N·m (55 lb ft).
5. Install the oil pan flange-to-transaxle bolts (2) and tighten to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).



6. Remove the transaxle support jack.



7. Install the rear transaxle mounting bracket and the rear transaxle mounting bracket bolts and tighten to 90 N·m (66 lb ft).
8. Install the starter. Refer to Starter Motor Replacement.
9. Install the transaxle ground wiring harness and the transaxle ground bolt.



10. Install the front damper bush and the front damper bush mounting bolts and tighten to 65 N·m (48 lb ft).
11. Install the drive axle shafts. Refer to Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement.
12. Install the frame brace. Refer to Frame Brace Replacement.



13. Install the engine crossmember. Refer to Engine Front Crossmember Replacement.
14. Install the front exhaust pipe. Refer to Front Pipe Replacement.
15. Install the engine under covers. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement.
16. Lower the vehicle.



17. Remove the DW-110-060 support fixture from the engine.



18. Install the upper transaxle-to-engine bolts and tighten to 75 N·m (55 lb ft).



19. Connect the backup lamp switch electrical wiring connector.



20. Connect the speedometer driven gear electrical wiring connector.



21. Connect the clutch actuator cylinder pipe to the concentric slave cylinder pipe and install the clip.
22. Execute the air bleeding. Refer to Hydraulic Clutch Bleeding.



23. Install the cables (2) to the shift control cable bracket.
24. Install the shift control cables (1) to the transaxle.
25. Adjust the shift control cable. Refer to Shift Linkage Adjustment.
26. Install the battery and the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement



27. Install the engine cover and the air filter housing.
28. Check the fluid level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Inspection.
