Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?

Go to Step 2

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle in Vehicle DTC Information

Verify that the rear window lockout function does not work properly.

Does the lockout function operate properly?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

Important: Verify the power window switch lockout is not engaged.

1. Turn OFF the ignition.
2. Disconnect the front power window switch.
3. Test the front power window switch lockout signal circuit for a short to voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

Replace the front power window switch. Refer to Front Side Door Window Switch Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 5

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
