Luggage Carrier Replacement WithoutSunroof

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1347825  Size: SH
  1. Remove the luggage carrier side rail front covers using a trim tool or equivalent.

  2. Object Number: 1347829  Size: SH
  3. Remove the luggage carrier side rail rear covers using a trim tool or equivalent.

  4. Object Number: 1347830  Size: SH
  5. Remove the luggage carrier center rails by flipping up the side retainers and sliding the center rails rearward off the side rails.

  6. Object Number: 1347833  Size: SH
  7. Remove the nuts that attach the front of the side rails to the roof.

  8. Object Number: 1347836  Size: SH
  9. Remove the nuts that attach the rear of the side rails to the roof.

  10. Object Number: 1347838  Size: SH
  11. Remove the side rails from the vehicle.

  12. Object Number: 1347840  Size: SH
  13. Remove the rubber gasket from the side rails.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1347840  Size: SH
  1. Install the rubber gasket to the side rails.

  2. Object Number: 1347838  Size: SH
  3. Install the side rails to the vehicle.
  4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1347836  Size: SH
  5. Install the rear side rails to the roof nuts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).


    Object Number: 1347833  Size: SH
  7. Install the front side rails to the roof nuts.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).


    Object Number: 1347830  Size: SH

    Important: To avoid windnoise, the center rails must be installed with the arrows pointing forward.

  9. Install the luggage carrier center rails, with the arrows pointing forward, by sliding into the side rails from the rear.

  11. Install the rear side rail covers.

  12. Object Number: 1347825  Size: SH
  13. Install the front side rail covers.
