Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the HVAC module. Refer to HVAC Module Assembly Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 933065  Size: SH
  3. Remove the heater duct screws from the heater core cover.
  4. Remove the heater duct from the heater core cover.

  5. Object Number: 1284982  Size: SH
  6. Remove the panel actuator screws from the evaporator case assembly.
  7. Remove the panel actuator from the evaporator case assembly.

  8. Object Number: 1284979  Size: SH
  9. Remove the floor actuator screws from the evaporator case assembly.
  10. Remove the floor actuator from the evaporator case assembly.

  11. Object Number: 1284981  Size: SH
  12. Remove the defrost actuator screws from the evaporator case assembly.
  13. Remove the defrost actuator from the evaporator case assembly.

  14. Object Number: 933022  Size: SH
  15. Remove the heater core cover screws from the evaporator case assembly.
  16. Remove the heater core cover from the evaporator case assembly.

  17. Object Number: 932938  Size: SH
  18. Remove the heater core pipe cover screw.
  19. Remove the heater core pipe cover.
  20. Remove the heater core pipe seal.

  21. Object Number: 932945  Size: SH
  22. Grasp the heater core at the end tanks and remove. Spraying perimeter of heater core seal with a soap and water mixture will ease removal.

  23. Object Number: 932965  Size: SH
  24. Remove the evaporator case assembly screws from the blower case assembly.
  25. Remove the evaporator case assembly from the blower case assembly.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 932965  Size: SH
  1. Install evaporator case assembly to the blower case assembly.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install evaporator case assembly screws to the blower case assembly.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1 N·m (9 lb in).

  5. Install heater core. Spraying perimeter of heater core seal with a soap and water mixture will ease installation.
  6. Install heater core pipe seal.

  7. Object Number: 932938  Size: SH
  8. Install heater core pipe cover.
  9. Install heater core pipe cover screw.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 1 N·m (9 lb in).

  11. Install heater core cover.
  12. Install heater core cover screws.
  13. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1 N·m (9 lb in).

  14. Install the floor actuator to the evaporator case assembly.
  15. Install the floor actuator screws to the evaporator case assembly.
  16. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1 N·m (9 lb in).

  17. Install the defrost actuator to the evaporator case assembly.
  18. Install the defrost actuator screws to the evaporator case assembly.
  19. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1 N·m (9 lb in).


    Object Number: 1284982  Size: SH
  20. Install the panel actuator to the evaporator case assembly.
  21. Install the panel actuator screws to the evaporator case assembly.
  22. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1 N·m (9 lb in).

  23. Install the heater duct.
  24. Install the heater duct screws.
  25. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1 N·m (9 lb in).

  26. Install the HVAC module. Refer to HVAC Module Assembly Replacement .
