The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
The instructions in the owner's manual for turning the automatic dimming mirror function On and Off are incorrect for the DF5 mirror without OnStar. The owner's manual instructs to press and hold the On/Off button for four seconds. This mirror does not have an On/Off button.
Recommendation/Instructions:
To turn the automatic dimming mirror function on and off, Press and hold the TEMP button for approximately 5 to 8 seconds.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
