Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

  2. Object Number: 1370518  Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the HO2S 2 harness connector (3).
  4. Important: Silicone based products will contaminate the HO2S. DO NOT use products containing silicone on or near the HO2S.

  5. Use a liquid penetrate before removing the sensor.
  6. Remove the HO2S 2 (2) from the exhaust pipe.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1370518  Size: SH

    Notice: Silicone based products will contaminate the HO2S. Use only a nickel based anti-seize compound that does not contain silicone.

  1. Apply a small amount of anti-seize compound to the threads of the HO2S 2.
  2. Notice: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the HO2S 2 (2).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the HO2S 2 to 42 N·m (31 lb ft).

  5. Connect the HO2S 2 harness connector (3). Push in the connector until a click is heard, then pull back to confirm a positive engagement.
  6. Ensure the HO2S 2 harness pigtail connector is secure to the chassis.
