Front Fog Lamp Replacement Torrent

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove either the LF or RF front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement .
  3. Disconnect the fog lamp bulb socket electrical connector.

Front Fog Lamp Screw (Qty: 2)

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tighten
2 N·m (18 lb in)

Front Fog Lamp Adjuster Screw

  1. Remove the adjuster screw from the fog lamp bracket and lamp assembly.
  2. Count the number of turns when removing the adjuster screw for a reference upon installation.
  3. Aim the fog lamps after installation. Refer to Fog Lamp Aiming .

Front Fog Lamp Assembly

Tip
Remove the lamp assembly from the fog lamp bracket.

Front Fog Lamp Bulb

Caution: Refer to Halogen Bulb Caution in the Preface section.

Tip
Turn the bulb socket counterclockwise and remove from lamp assembly.

Front Fog Lamp Adjuster Screw

Tip
Count the number of turns outward when removing the screw to install the screw close to the same position as removed.

Front Fog Lamp Screw (Qty: 2)

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tighten
2.5 N·m (22 lb in)

Front Fog Lamp Bulb

Caution: Refer to Halogen Bulb Caution in the Preface section.

Procedure

  1. Remove the push-in retainers that hold the front flap of the front wheelhouse liner to the fascia.
  2. Move the front flap of the wheelhouse liner out of the way in order to gain access to the fog lamp.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector to the fog lamp bulb.
  4. Rotate counter-clockwise the bulb and remove from the fog lamp assembly.
  5. Remove the lamp assembly from the fog lamp locking ring.
  6. Adjust and aim the fog lamps when completed. Refer to Fog Lamp Aiming .
