Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the left side instrument panel sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side.
2. Remove the communication interface module, if equipped. Refer to Communication Interface Module Replacement.

Brake Pedal Position Sensor Bolt

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Procedure

Do not reuse the brake pedal position sensor bolt. Discard the bolt.

Tighten
2.5 N·m (22 lb in)

Brake Pedal Position Sensor Assembly

Procedure

1. Disconnect the brake pedal position sensor electrical connector.
2. Discard the brake pedal position sensor. Do not reuse the sensor.
3. After the installation is complete, calibrate the position sensor. Refer to Brake Pedal Position Sensor Calibration.
