This bulletin is being revised to inform dealerships that the 3.6L LY7 VVT V6 engine program for the 2008 model year has ended. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 07-06-01-017 (Section 06 -- Engine/Propulsion System).
The engine exchange program for the LY7 3.6L VVT V6 engine has ended. It is no longer necessary to contact the Product Quality Center (PQC) prior to doing any work on the LY7 3.6L V6 engine. Technicians should use SI for normal diagnosis and repair procedures.
The PQC must still be called for authorization of engine assembly replacement.
