For 1990-2009 cars only
- Coat the valve lifters using prelube GM P/N 12345501 (Canadian P/N 992704) or the equivalent.
- Install the valve lifters in their original locations.
- Apply threadlock GM P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) or the equivalent to the threads.
- Install the valve lifter guides and guide bolts, and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
