Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the driver seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket.
2. Remove the left carpet retainer. Refer to Front Side Door Opening Floor Carpet Retainer Replacement.
3. Remove the left lower center pillar molding. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Garnish Molding Replacement.
4. Move the carpet back enough to gain access to the communication interface module battery.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
10 N·m (89 lb in)
