Preliminary Procedures

1. Disable the SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
2. Remove the windshield garnish moldings. Refer to Windshield Upper Garnish Molding Replacement.

Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad Cover (Qty: 2)

Procedure

Use a nylon flat bladed tool to pry up the covers.

Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad Bolt

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
10 N·m (89 lb in)

Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad

Procedure

1. Disconnect the ambient light sensor electrical connector.
2. When replacing the instrument panel upper trim panel, transfer all necessary parts.
