  1. Connect a digital multimeter (DMM) between connector C200 Cavity E13 for the LT BLU (10) pigtail wire and cavity E12 for the TAN (12) pigtail wire.
  2. Operate the headlamp dimmer switch at low beam at least twice.

Is continuity present?

Are the high beam headlamps inoperative?

  1. Disconnect C200 at the steering column.
  2. Connect a DMM between connector C200 cavity E13 for the LT BLU (10) pigtail wire and cavity E11 for the LT GRN (11) pigtail wire.
  3. Operate the headlamp dimmer switch at high beam at least twice.

Is continuity present?

--

Go to Step 8

  1. Reconnect C200 at the steering column.
  2. Remove the daytime running lamp relay from the IP relay center.
  3. Connect an unpowered test lamp between the IP relay center cavity B2 and ground.
  4. Place the headlamp switch in the headlamp position and the headlamp dimmer switch in LO.

Does the test lamp light?

Test for an open in the TAN (12) pigtail wire in the steering column.

Is the wire open?

Go to Step 12

Repair the open in the LT GRN (11) wire between splice S234 and the underhood fuse-relay center cavity H3.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Headlight System Check .

Test for an open in the LT GRN (11) pigtail wire in the steering column.

Is the wire open?

Go to Step 14

Replace the daytime running lamp relay.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Headlight System Check .

Repair the open in the TAN (359) wire between the IP relay center cavity B2 and C200 connector cavity E12.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Headlight System Check .

Repair the open in the TAN (12) pigtail wire in the steering column.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Headlight System Check .

Replace the headlamp dimmer switch.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open in the LT GRN (11) pigtail wire between splice S234 and the underhood fuse relay.
