  1. Disconnect the connector at the rear door lock actuator motor.
  2. Connect an unpowered test lamp between rear door lock actuator motor connector cavity A for CKT 294 (TAN) and ground.
  3. Unlock all doors at any power door lock switch.

Did the test lamp light?

  1. Connect an unpowered test lamp between rear door lock actuator motor connector cavity B for CKT 295 (GRY) and ground.
  2. Lock all doors at any power door lock switch.

Did the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 5

  1. Disconnect the remote control door lock receiver.
  2. Connect a digital multimeter (DMM) between the rear door lock actuator motor connector cavity A for CKT 294 (TAN) and a known good ground.

    3. Test for continunity.

Is continunity present?

--

Go to Step 7

Replace the rear door lock actuator motor.

Does the lock operate properly?

--

Repair the open in CKT 295 (GRY) between S244 and the rear door lock actuator motor.

Does the lock operate properly?

Repair the short to ground in CKT 1576 (BLK)/CKT 294 (TAN) between the remote control door lock receiver and the rear door lock actuator motor.

Does the lock operate properly?

--

  1. Connect a fused jumper wire from B+ to the remote control door lock receiver connector cavity G for CKT 1576 (BLK).
  2. Connect an unpowered test lamp between rear door lock actuator motor connector cavity A for CKT 294 (TAN) to ground.

Did the test lamp light?

Replace the remote control door lock receiver.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open in CKT 1576 (BLK)/CKT 294 (TAN) between the remote control door lock receiver and the rear door lock actuator motor.

    • Connect an unpowered test lamp between the power door lock relay connector cavity A for CKT 194 (WHT) and ground.
    • Unlock the doors at any power door lock switch.

Does the test lamp light?

Replace the power door lock relay.

Is the door unlock still inoperative with the transmitter on the right front and the side?

Repair the open in CKT 194 (WHT) between splice S242 and the power door lock relay.
