Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the instrument panel lower extension. Refer to Instrument Panel Extension Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  2. Remove the passenger seat from the vehicle in the 7.4 L and the 6.5 L diesel engines. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket in Seats.

    3. Object Number: 318789 Size: SH
  3. Release the engine cover retaining straps.

    4. Object Number: 318790 Size: SH
  4. Remove the engine cover from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 318790 Size: SH

    Important: Ensure that the engine cover sealing strip is properly seated between the engine cover and the vehicle.

  1. Install the engine cover to the vehicle.

    2. Object Number: 318789 Size: SH
  2. Install the engine cover retaining straps.
  3. Install the passenger seat to the vehicle in 7.4 L and the 6.5 L Diesel engines. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket in Seats.
  4. Install the instrument panel lower extension. Refer to Instrument Panel Extension Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.
