Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the grille assembly. Refer to Grille Replacement .
  2. Place a drain pan under the vehicle.
  3. Disconnect the transmission oil cooler lines from the auxiliary oil cooler.
  4. Remove the oil cooler lines from the auxiliary oil cooler. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement .

  5. Object Number: 102294  Size: SH
  6. Remove the 4 bolts securing the auxiliary oil cooler to the radiator support.
  7. Remove the auxiliary oil cooler.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 102294  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the 4 bolts securing the oil cooler to the radiator support.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the oil cooler lines to the auxiliary oil cooler. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement .
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the cooler lines to 23 N·m (17 lb ft).

  5. Remove the drain pan.
  6. Install the grille assembly. Refer to Grille Replacement .
