Removal Procedure
- Remove the body side upper garnish molding. Refer to Body Side Rear Upper Garnish Molding Replacement in Interior Trim.
- Remove the body side lower garnish molding. Refer to Body Side Rear Garnish Molding Replacement in Interior Trim.
- Remove the body side trim panel. Refer to Body Side Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side in Interior Trim.
- Remove the upper seat belt guide retaining bolt from the seat belt guide.
- Remove the upper seat belt guide from the vehicle.
- Remove the seat belt retractor retaining bolt from the vehicle.
- Remove the seat belt retractor from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the seat belt retractor to the vehicle.
- Install the seat belt retractor retaining bolt to the vehicle.
- Install the seat belt guide to the vehicle.
- Install the seat belt guide retaining bolt to the vehicle.
- Install the body side trim panel. Refer to Body Side Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side in Interior Trim.
- Install the body side lower garnish molding. Refer to Body Side Rear Garnish Molding Replacement in Interior Trim.
- Install the body side upper garnish molding. Refer to Body Side Rear Upper Garnish Molding Replacement in Interior Trim.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the seat belt retractor retaining bolt to 52 N·m
(38 lb ft).
Tighten
Tighten the seat belt guide retaining bolt to 52 N·m (38 lb ft).
