Rear Bench Seat Replacement All Except Luxury

Removal Procedure

  1. Press a drift punch or a similar tool into the release hole of the seat belt buckle while pulling on the safety belt in order to remove the quick release latch plates for the lap/shoulder belts.

  2. Object Number: 783237  Size: SH
  3. Rotate the locking pin (3) at the rear of the seat riser out of the retainer.
  4. Pull the locking pin (3) out from the rear of the seat riser.

  5. Object Number: 333666  Size: SH
  6. Stow the locking pin in the hole provided at the rear of the seat riser (2).

  7. Object Number: 333671  Size: SH
  8. Lift the seat up and out of the floor rails.

  9. Object Number: 333672  Size: SH
  10. Remove the seat from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the seat to the vehicle.

  2. Object Number: 333671  Size: SH
  3. Align the seat attaching points with the slots in the floor rail.
  4. Push the seat forward in the rail in order to lock the front of the seat risers onto the pins on the inside of the floor rail.

  5. Object Number: 333666  Size: SH
  6. Remove the locking pin (3) from the stored position at the rear of the seat riser (2).

  7. Object Number: 783237  Size: SH
  8. Locate the hole in the floor rail at the rear of the seat riser (2) and insert the locking pin.
  9. Rotate the locking pin (3) at the rear of the seat riser (1) into the retaining clip.
  10. Insert the latch plate into the seat belt buckle in order to install the quick release latch plate for the lap/shoulder belt.
  11. Push in order to engage the latch plate with the seat belt buckle.

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear bench seat from the vehicle.

  2. Object Number: 300221  Size: SH
  3. The rear bench seat release lever is a 2 stage mechanism. In order to release the latch, 2 levels of lift effort are required:
  4. 2.1. A low lift effort to overcome the first stage
    2.2. A second lift effort in order to fully release the latch mechanism

  5. Release the latch mechanism.
  6. Remove the rear bench seat from the vehicle.

  7. Object Number: 300226  Size: SH
  8. Remove the front seat riser bolts from the rear bench seat.
  9. Remove the rear seat riser bolts from the rear bench seat.
  10. Remove the seat risers from the rear bench seat.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 300226  Size: SH
  1. Install the rear bench seat risers to the seat.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the rear bench seat riser bolts to the seat.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the rear bench seat riser bolts to the seat to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  5. Install the front bench seat riser bolts to the seat.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the front bench seat riser bolts to the seat to 65 N·m (47 lb ft).

  7. Install the rear bench seat in the vehicle:
  8. 4.1. Lift the rear bench seat into position.
    4.2. Lower the front hooked retainers onto the anchor pins in the floor anchor plates.

  9. Lower the rear bench seat latch onto their anchor pins in the anchor plates.
  10. Verify that the rear bench seat is securely latched by pulling up on the seat.
