Rocker Panel Retaining Plate Replacement Luxury Y91

1. Remove the rocker panel molding from the vehicle. Refer to Rocker Panel Molding Replacement .
2. Remove the screws that hold the retaining plate to the rocker panel.
3. Remove the retaining plate from the vehicle.

1. Install the retaining plate to the vehicle.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

2. Install the screws to the retaining plate.

Tighten
Tighten the retaining plate screws to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

3. Install the rocker panel molding to the vehicle. Refer to Rocker Panel Molding Replacement .
