Removal Procedure
- Raise the seat to the
full UP position, if equipped with power seats.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors from the power seat motors,
if equipped.
- Remove the front lower
speaker from the passenger seat, if equipped. Refer to
Amplifier and/or Speaker Replacement - Front Seat
in Entertainment.
- Remove the nuts (3) retaining the seat adjuster (2) to the seat
riser (4).
- Remove the front seat and the seat adjuster from the seat riser.
- Remove the bolts retaining the seat adjuster from the seat.
- Remove the seat adjuster from the seat.
Installation Procedure
- Install the seat adjuster
(2) to the seat.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the bolts in order to retain the seat adjuster to the seat.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts in order to retain the seat adjuster (2) to the seat
to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
- Install the front seat
and the seat adjuster (2) to the seat riser (4).
- Install the nuts (3) in order to retain the seat adjuster to the
seat riser.
Tighten
Tighten the nuts (3) in order to retain the seat adjuster (2) to the
seat riser (4) to 45 N·m (33 lb ft).
- Install the front lower speaker to the passenger seat, if removed.

- Connect the electrical connectors to the power seat motors, if
equipped.
