Glow Plug Control Module Replacement for Chevrolet Express 2006
Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to
Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
.
- Remove the engine cover. Refer to
Engine Cover Replacement
.
- Remove the charged air cooler inlet hose/pipe assembly. Refer to
Charged Air Cooler Hoses/Pipes Replacement
.
- Disconnect the glow plug control module electrical connectors.
- Disconnect the positive battery cable from the glow plug control module.
- Remove the glow plug control module bolts.
- Remove the glow plug control module.
- Remove the glow plug control module bracket bolts, if required.
- Remove the glow plug control module bracket, if required.
Installation Procedure
- Install the glow plug control module bracket, if required.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the glow plug control module bracket bolts, if required.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Install the glow plug control module.
- Install the glow plug control module bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Connect the positive battery cable to the glow plug control module.
- Connect the glow plug control module electrical connectors.
- Install the charged air cooler hose/pipe assembly. Refer to
Charged Air Cooler Hoses/Pipes Replacement
.
- Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to
Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
.
- If a NEW glow plug control module was installed, program the module. Refer to
Control Module References
.
- Install the engine cover. Refer to
Engine Cover Replacement
.
