🢒 Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose/Pipe/Tube Replacement
Removal Procedure
Remove the engine cover. Refer to
Engine Cover Replacement
.
Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to
Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement
.
Remove the charged air cooler inlet pipe from the turbocharger. Refer to
Charged Air Cooler Hoses/Pipes Replacement
.
Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the glow plug module.
Remove the glow plug wiring harness bracket bolts (1) and position the wiring harness and bracket aside.
Remove the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) pipe bolt from the left valve cover and disconnect the PCV pipe.
Remove the PCV pipe bolt from the right valve cover and disconnect the PCV pipe.
Compress the clamp (1) and disconnect the PCV pipe (2) from the air intake pipe (3).
Remove the PCV hose/pipe.
Installation Procedure
Position the PCV hose/pipe.
Compress the clamp (1) and connect the PCV pipe (2) to the air intake pipe (3).
Position the PCV pipe to the right valve cover and loosely install the PCV pipe bolt.
Position the PCV pipe to the left valve cover and loosely install the PCV pipe bolt.
Caution:
Refer to
Fastener Caution
in the Preface section.
Tighten the right and left PCV pipe bolts to
18 N·m (13 lb ft)
.
Position the glow plug wiring harness to the original position and install the wiring harness bracket bolts (1).
Connect the wiring harness connector to the glow plug module.
Install the charged air cooler inlet pipe to the turbocharger. Refer to
Charged Air Cooler Hoses/Pipes Replacement
.
Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to
Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement
.
Install the engine cover. Refer to
Engine Cover Replacement
.
