Condition

Some customers may comment on reduced power/hesitation/stall while driving at high altitude with warm ambient temperatures usually above 27°C (80°F).

Correction

Important: When removing fuel tank strap bolts, DO NOT use air tools. Using air tools may cause the retaining clip nut to spin preventing removal of strap bolt.

Replace the fuel tank sender (module) assembly. Refer to the Fuel Sender Assembly Replacement procedure in the Engine Controls sub-section of the Service Manual (SI Document ID #868182). Use the part numbers listed below.
