Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?

1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
2. Operate the passenger window up and down from both the passenger window switch and the driver window switch.

Does the passenger window operate properly from both switches?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

Go to Step 3

Does the passenger window operate from the driver window switch and not the passenger window switch?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

Does the passenger window operate from the passenger window switch and not the master switch?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 7

1. Disconnect the passenger power window switch.
2. Connect a test lamp between the accessory voltage circuit at the passenger power window switch harness connector and ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 16

Go to Step 22

Does the driver window operate?

Go to Step 19

Go to Power Windows Inoperative - All

1. Disconnect the passenger power window motor.
2. Connect a test lamp between power window motor up circuit and ground.
3. Operate the passenger power window in the up direction from the driver power window switch.

Did the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 10

1. Connect a test lamp between passenger power window motor down circuit and ground.
2. Operate the passenger power window in the down direction from the power window master switch.

Did the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 9

Go to Step 11

1. Connect a test lamp between passenger power window motor up and down circuits.
2. Operate the passenger power window in the up and down directions.

Did the test lamp illuminate in both directions?

Go to Step 17

1. Disconnect the passenger power window switch.
2. Connect a test lamp between the driver power window switch up signal circuit at the passenger power window switch harness connector and ground.
3. Operate the passenger power window in the up direction from the power window master switch.

Did the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 14

1. Disconnect the passenger power window switch.
2. Connect a test lamp between the power window master switch down signal circuit at the passenger power window switch harness connector and ground.
3. Operate the passenger power window in the down direction from the power window master switch.

Did the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 15

Go to Step 13

Test for an open or short to ground in the driver power window switch up signal circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 23

Test for an open or short to ground in the driver power window switch down signal circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 23

Test for an open or short to ground in the power window motor up control circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 23

Test for an open or short to ground in the power window motor down control circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Did you complete the repair?

Repair the open in the accessory voltage circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs.

Did you complete the repair?

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?

System OK
