Removal Procedure
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
.
- Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to
Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
.
- Remove the front propeller shaft, 4WD vehicles only. Refer to
Front Propeller Shaft Replacement
.
- Remove the engine mount to the frame mounting bolts through the wheel well.
Notice: When raising or supporting the engine for any reason, do not use a jack
under the oil pan, any sheet metal, or crankshaft balancer. Jacking against
the oil pan may cause it to crack or break.
Important: Raise the engine only enough to permit removal of the engine mount.
- Raise and suitably support the engine using adjustable (screw type) jackstands.
- Remove the front engine mount to the engine mounting bolts through the wheel well.
- Remove the rear engine mount to the engine mounting bolts from under the vehicle.
- Remove the engine mount from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the engine mount to the vehicle.
- Install the rear engine mount to the engine mounting bolts from under the vehicle. Do not tighten at this time.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the front engine mount to the engine mounting bolts through the wheel well.
Tighten
Tighten the engine mount to engine mounting bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
- Lower the engine.
- Install the engine mount to the frame mounting bolts through the wheel well.
Tighten
Tighten the engine mount to frame mounting bolts to 60 N·m (44 lb ft).
- Install the front propeller shaft , 4WD vehicles only. Refer to
Front Propeller Shaft Replacement

- Install the tire and wheel. Refer to
Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
.
- Lower the vehicle.
