Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 260117 Size: SH
  1. Drain the engine oil.
  2. Remove the oil filter.

    3. Object Number: 1744518 Size: SH
  3. Remove the oil pan cover (434), bolts (435), and gasket (433).
  4. Discard the gasket.
  5. Remove the oil filter fittings (438), if equipped.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1744518 Size: SH
  1. Install the oil pan cover (434), bolts (435), and NEW oil pan cover gasket (433).

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the oil pan cover bolts to 12 N·m (106 lb in).

  2. Install the oil filter fitting (438).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the oil filter fitting to 55 N·m (40 lb ft).

  3. Install the oil filter.
  4. Refill the engine oil. Refer to Approximate Fluid Capacities and/or Fluid and Lubricant Recommendations.
