Preliminary Procedures

1. Recover the refrigerant from the system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
2. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
3. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
4. Remove the fuel filler pipe from the body.
5. Loosen all body to frame mount bolts, remove all but 2 in the radiator core support and the 2 front body bolts.
6. Lift the rear of the body off the frame, and support.

Auxiliary A/C Evaporator and Heater Hose Shield

Procedure

1. Remove the shieldpush retainers (Qty: 2).
2. Remove shield nut.

Tighten
7 N·m (62 lb in)

Auxiliary Heater Hose Clamp (Qty: 2)

Procedure

Using J 38185 reposition the auxiliary heater hose clamps.

Auxiliary A/C Evaporator Nut

Tighten
16 N·m (12 lb ft)

Auxiliary Heater Hose Clamp (Qty: 2)

Procedure

Using J 38185 reposition the auxiliary heater hose clamps.

Auxiliary A/C Evaporator Nut

Tighten
16 N·m (12 lb ft)

Auxiliary A/C and Heater Hose Bracket Nut (Qty: 4)

Tighten
7 N·m (62 lb in)

Auxiliary A/C Evaporator and Auxiliary Heater Hose Retainer (Qty: 2)
