J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers

1. Partially drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling.
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
3. Remove the heater coolant heater muffler. Refer to Heater Coolant Heater Exhaust Muffler Replacement.
4. Disconnect the heater coolant heater electrical connectors.
5. Disconnect the fuel supply hose to the heater coolant heater. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service.



6. Reposition the heater hose clamps at the heater coolant heater using J 38185 .
7. Remove the heater hoses from the heater coolant heater.



8. Remove the air supply hose from the heater coolant heater.



9. Remove the heater coolant heater retaining bolt.



10. Remove the heater coolant heater from the bracket.

1. Install the heater coolant heater to the bracket.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.




2. Install the heater coolant heater retaining bolt and tighten to 6 N·m (53 lb in).



3. Install the air supply hose to the heater coolant heater.



4. Install the heater hoses to the heater coolant heater.
5. Reposition the heater hose clamps at the heater coolant heater using J 38185 .
6. Connect the fuel supply hose to the heater coolant heater. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service.
7. Connect the heater coolant heater electrical connectors.
8. Install the heater coolant heater muffler. Refer to Heater Coolant Heater Exhaust Muffler Replacement.
9. Lower the vehicle.
10. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling.
