Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1744441 Size: SH
  1. Remove the console rear trim plate. Refer to Console Rear Trim Plate Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the park brake indicator switch electrical connector (1).
  3. Remove the park brake indicator switch mounting screw (2).
  4. Remove the park brake indicator switch from the park brake lever assembly.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1744441 Size: SH
  1. Align the park brake park brake indicator switch locating tab to the locating hole on the park brake lever assembly.
  2. Install the park brake indicator switch to the park brake lever.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the park brake indicator switch screw (2).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  4. Connect the park brake indicator switch electrical connector (1).
  5. Install the console rear trim plate. Refer to Console Rear Trim Plate Replacement .
  6. Verify correct park brake indicator lamp operation.
