Preliminary Procedures

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
2. Without disconnecting the wiring harness connectors, reposition the electrical center and powertrain control modules from the underhood electrical center bracket and reposition the bracket to access the brake fluid level sensor. Refer to Underhood Electrical Center or Junction Block Bracket Replacement .

Using a pair of needle nose pliers, release the retaining tabs and remove the sensor.
