Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the front passenger seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket.
  2. Remove the head restraint. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .
  3. Remove the seat back cushion finish panel. Refer to Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Back Cushion Finish Panel Replacement.
  4. Remove the outer cushion trim panel. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement.
  5. Remove the inner cushion trim panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Inner Trim Panel Replacement.
  6. Remove the armrest. Refer to Front Seat Armrest Replacement.
  7. Remove the seat back recliner outer trim panel. Refer to Front Seat Back Recliner Outer Trim Panel Replacement.
  8. Remove the seat back recliner inner trim panel. Refer to Front Seat Back Recliner Inner Trim Panel Replacement.

Passenger Seat Recliner Bolt (Qty: 8)

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tighten
43 N·m (32 lb ft)

Tip

  1. Disconnect the seat back heating element wiring connector, if equipped.
  2. Mark the alignment of the recliners to the cushion latch torque rod.
  3. Remove the lower bolts from the recliners on each side.
  4. Remove the seat back assembly from the lower frame and cushion assembly.
  5. Remove the upper bolts from the recliners.
