Subject:Poor Radio Reception/Intermittent Signal

Models:2006-2007 Chevrolet HHR



The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

A condition has been identified that may cause poor radio reception/loss of radio signal intermittently or RDO fuse (15amp) to be blown. The cause may be the B+ power feed wire (that supplies power to the antenna Amplifier) pinched at the right sun visor attachment.

Recommendation/Instructions:

If you experience any of the above conditions, remove the right side sunvisor from the headliner and inspect the wiring for a short to ground.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
