After either replacing the power steering control module (PSCM), motor or steering column assembly, the Steering Wheel Angle and Torque Calibration procedure must be performed.
The ignition is ON.
This DTC will set if the PSCM, motor or torque sensor has not been calibrated using the Steering Wheel Angle and Torque Calibration procedure.
• | DTC C056E 4B is stored in memory. |
• | The driver information center (DIC) displays the SERVICE POWER STEERING warning message. |
• | No Steering assist. |
• | A current DTC will clear after the PSCM, motor or torque sensor has been calibrated using the Steering Wheel Angle and Torque Calibration procedure. |
• | A history DTC will clear after 100 consecutive malfunction-free ignition cycles from when the PSCM, motor or torque sensor has been calibrated using the Steering Wheel Angle and Torque Calibration procedure. |
