Rear Panel Doors Wont Open From Key FOB Buttons - keywords inop inooperative keyless RKE RFA

This PI was superseded to change the recommended repair from replacement to reprogram. Please discard PIC4582.

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

A condition has been identified that will cause the rear panel door buttons on the key fobs to become inoperative. You will notice that all the fob buttons will work EXCEPT the left and right rear door buttons. This is caused by an internal issue in the RKE module and will require reflashing reprogramming of the module.

Reprogram the Remote Keyless Entry module using pass-through programming to enable " RFA Remote Function Actuator (Enable power rear door only) -- Passthrough only"

Note: The RKE module has been relocated (for panel van) to the front of the headliner just above the inside rear view mirror assembly.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
