The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

A software concern has been identified, that will NOT allow you to properly setup the steering wheel position sensor.

Important: This permanent fix will be available in the next Tech2 software release scheduled for June 23, 2008

For now you can send the caller to Techline and have the Techline consultant reference (Techline case # 1426856). Techline will build a VCI number for the vehicle.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
