Preliminary Procedure

1. Open the liftgate.
2. Remove either the LH or RH rear quarter trim panel access hole cover.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector at the backup lamp bulb socket.
4. Turn the lamp socket a quarter turn counterclockwise and remove.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
6 N·m (53 lb in)
