1. Washer Inoperative 2. Washers Always ON |
The Windshield Wiper Washer Switch controls the washer pump motor by appling accessory voltage through the windshield washer pump control circuit. The BCM monitors the Windshield washer pump control circuit and when a wash cycle is requested the BCM will command the low speed wipers ON for 3 wipe cycles. The washer pump is a bidirectional pump and is used for both the front and rear washer. When the front washers are requested the WSW PUMP Relay applies power to the washer pump and uses the circuitry of the REAR WSW PUMP Relay to ground the washer pump motor through ground circuit G109.

⇒ | If the parameter does not cycle between the specified values, refer to Windshield Wiper/Washer Switch Circuit Malfunction. |
⇒ | If the washer pump does not activate, refer to Washer Pump Circuit Malfunction. |
⇒ | If the low speed wipers do not turn on, refer to Windshield Wiper System Malfunction. |
⇒ | If not the specified value, test the accessory voltage circuit terminal D for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the BCM. |
⇒ | If not the specified value, test the control circuit terminal B for a short to B+. If the circuit tests normal, replace the BCM. |
⇒ | If not the specified value, test the control circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the BCM. |
⇒ | If not the specified value, test the controll circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the BCM. |
⇒ | If not the specified value, test the ground circuit for a short to voltage or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the BCM. |
⇒ | If not the specified value, replace the multifunction switch. |
⇒ | If greater than the specified range, replace the multifunction switch. |
⇒ | If the washer pump does not activate , replace the washer pump. |
