Preliminary Procedures

  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
  2. Remove the console. Refer to Console Replacement.
  3. Fully release the park brake lever.

Park Brake Indicator Switch Electrical Connector

Tip
Ensure that the connector is located to the side.

Park Brake Cable Adjusting Nut

Tip

    •  Use ONLY HAND TOOLS when loosening or tightening the adjusting nut
    • Loosen the nut enough to completely relieve tension on the front cable.

Rear Park Brake Cable (Qty: 2)

Tip
Release the rear cable ends from the cable equalizer.

Park Brake Lever Assembly Nut (Qty: 4)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
25 N·m (18 lb ft)

Floor Console Bracket

Rear Park Brake Cable Guide Tubes

Procedure

Release the rear cable guide tube ends from the park brake lever.

Park Brake Lever Assembly

Procedure

Adjust the park brake. Refer to Parking Brake Adjustment.
