Removal Procedure

Caution: When removing or installing the backup lamp switch, do not use an open end wrench. Use only a socket in order to avoid damage to the switch assembly.

  1. Remove the left front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
  2. Disconnect the backup lamp connector (1).

  3. Object Number: 857190  Size: SH
  4. Remove the backup lamp switch assembly.

Installation Procedure

Caution: When removing or installing the backup lamp switch, do not use an open end wrench. Use only a socket in order to avoid damage to the switch assembly.

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Install the backup lamp switch using pipe sealant. For the sealant part number, refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the switch to 33 N·m (24 lb ft).

  3. Connect the backup lamp connector (1).
  4. Install the left front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
