Removal Procedure
Caution: When removing or installing the backup lamp switch, do not use an open end wrench. Use only a socket in order to avoid damage to the switch assembly.
- Remove the left front wheel. Refer to
Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
- Disconnect the backup lamp connector (1).
- Remove the backup lamp switch assembly.
Installation Procedure
Caution: When removing or installing the backup lamp switch, do not use an open end wrench. Use only a socket in order to avoid damage to the switch assembly.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.
- Install the backup lamp switch using pipe sealant. For the sealant part number, refer to
Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers.
Tighten
Tighten the switch to 33 N·m (24 lb ft).
- Connect the backup lamp connector (1).
- Install the left front wheel. Refer to
Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
